    I'm not sure which of these I prefer. Too much lens flare in the first one?

    I would say too much flare in shot 1 so it is disqualified and the winner is shot 2

    Bothe very nice, and I think if you applied a polarizing filter on that first one it would def. be the winner in my books.
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

    I'm liking both ... yes, the lens flare is a bit strong, but it does have its own story to tell, and I am likin that ... second one is very cool, could be a nice black and white abstract .....

    I'm swayed towards shot 1, the lines flare maybe on the extreme side but it gives the picture a dream like feeling.

    No 2 for me too please. I prefer the colour and the patterns isolated from the background

    Thanks all. FYI if anyone thought this was added flare, its not. Its just what happens if you point a lens(even an L lens) pretty much directly at the sun.
