The Bushfire Aftermath
-
An excellent set as usual, MA. I like seeing the colour coming back after the devastation.
-
That didn't take long. Good shots.
-
Very artistic presentation, MA! Nice to see nature hasn't lost the fight!
-
Thank you Iggy, Q1 and Yisehaq :)
Nope... nature will always win sooner or later ;D

It's amazing how quickly it starts to recover again. That first shot is particularly effective and well composed IMHO. The dried leaves that have blown in on the charred ground gives this an interesting colour contrast. What is the orange/red on the trees? I cant recall having seen that before. I lived in the area of the 2 Ash Wednesday bush-fires in SA 20 odd years ago and after that everything was black

Thanks RM. I'm not sure why some trees are charred black and others are that nice orange colour. Guessing they are a different gum tree with something special about the sap which resists the fire? Interestingly though, those bright red leaves were prominent up on the charred trees, but not evident on the orange ones.

You really captured the resilience of nature here, MA.

Great stuff MA...number 1 has an eerie feel to it and I quite like it!
