    It's amazing how quickly it starts to recover again. That first shot is particularly effective and well composed IMHO. The dried leaves that have blown in on the charred ground gives this an interesting colour contrast. What is the orange/red on the trees? I cant recall having seen that before. I lived in the area of the 2 Ash Wednesday bush-fires in SA 20 odd years ago and after that everything was black

    Thanks RM. I'm not sure why some trees are charred black and others are that nice orange colour. Guessing they are a different gum tree with something special about the sap which resists the fire? Interestingly though, those bright red leaves were prominent up on the charred trees, but not evident on the orange ones.
