Surf Carnival

This is a discussion on Surf Carnival within the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; I am intrigued to hear peoples thoughts on this photo. The composition is perhaps a little unorthodox, but is deliberate. ...

I am intrigued to hear peoples thoughts on this photo.

The composition is perhaps a little unorthodox, but is deliberate.

I knew the comp was deliberate. fab job mate. Framery time for thee.
Lots of little mini conversations goin on...making up the whole image. Love the solitary man at bottom corner left, and the conversation above him.
My teeniest of niggles might be the greenery at bottom corner right, I'm not convinced it's adding to the image. if you're not anti clone... Like I said though, small niggle on a fab image.

    Exactly it

I love it when someone "gets" what I was intending, even it may not be obvious to many. Lots of little stories making up the whole.

I had intended to go back and clone the bottom right, but then didn't do it. Thanks for reminding me.

My 80 year old mother is always making photo books and getting photos printed as parts of different projects of hers.

For my birthday, and to give us something to do during isolation, she gave me a voucher to have a jigsaw puzzle made from a photo of mine. I chose the photo above. I thought it perfect for a jigsaw. As it turned out it was certainly a challenging puzzle, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed doing it.
