    Default Lake Bumbunga

Lake Bumbunga is dry this time of year (but still soft under foot). It is often a bright pink when wet, apparently due to the algae that lives in it.

WOW - love that location. I could shoot there all day long!

Shot 1 - I really dig this. If it were mine though .... I'd send the viewer's eye into the footsteps so that the eye follows them into the horizon.
All that's needed is some burning in of the shadow detail in the footsteps. Quite a bit I'd say - 50% perhaps.
Watch the few footsteps that are already dark, you don't want to darken them too much.
For uber eye guiding, I'd dodge the footprint on at the bottom left as it has too much contrast and that's not where you want the eye to rest.
    Hope that may help

    Thanks Marko,

It is great location. It is only a 2 hour drive from my home but I had never been there before. The surrounding areas also have lots of opportunities for photography that I intend to return to more in the future.

Thanks for the suggestions. A good opportunity to use some luminosity masks (that you introduced me to in the podcast a while ago, and I that I use only occasionally), or even get to know range masks in Lightroom that I havent taken the time to learn how to use yet.
