Very cool. I would love to see one of these things.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

It was quite something...I spotted it just as we got there...I got off about 6 shots as the snow tumbled down the mountain, these 2 were the best of the bunch!
Kinda humbling in a way to watch actually....

Wow Casil! What a series of shots! Slides happen so fst it's hard to get ready in time. I was at Elbow Falls this morning but it looks like I should have kept going.

    cheers

Years ago I was camping at the Interlakes camp ground and I kept hearing the sound of fighter jets flying down the valley. One day on a hike I saw a tiny avalanche which produced my jet fighter sound. That must have sounded like the whole airforce flying by!

    cheers

Must have been a great experience watching this. Even better photographing it. Well done casil403. Glad you were not too close!

Oh! I just saw this. I have never seen an avalanche but have seen the glaciers 'calve' in Alaska and that is noisy too! Very cool that you got those shots Casil!
