Poor photos follow no rules, ok photos follow some rules, great photos break some rules, classic photos break all the rules........there are no rules!
Technical perfection is only ever important if it improves the asthetic. It is not the precursor to beauty. Not in art..not in music and not in photography!
I thought I posted here. :(
Anyway, I said I liked all of the photos but picked #1 as a fave because of the smooth pinkish light on the left contrasting with the rough textured darker right side. I also really like the diagonal compositioal elements you have created. Nice work!![]()
Thanks I appreciate you comments
It always seems to be the simplest of images with the fewest of elements work the best but I find that something so hard to force myself to accept while composing in the field. It is so easy to step out of the boundry into "too simple" to be interesting that I find myself battling which elements I should or should not to include. This is my greatest adversery I struggle with at the moment in photography![]()

Agree shot 1 is the pick of a great bunch of images.

I like #4 with the contrast of rich colors of the skyline in contrast to the rocky shoreline.
Beautiful, especially #1...
