A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
I also like the colors in these frames. My question is how soft do you go with the flow of the water? I have this discussion all the time with my wife who likes to see some defined patterns to the water in a faster speed while I like the looks of the slower speeds to get this silky look. I end up meeting her mid stream (pun) and get a combination of both.

I think how soft you go depends on what you want to portray in your photo. The serenity of a forest stream might call for the very soft look ... the power of the river might suggest stopping the flow.
