    Default Chasing the Sunset

I was out walking the dogs along our usual trail and saw the sun starting to set:

I took a couple shots (of which this is the best) and then thought that it might be neat over the river in town. The weather was such that everything was very still. So I beat it back to the car and then into town where I got these:

I like the idea of the last one but think that it needs to be rethought. Unfortunately I am out of ideas let me know if you have any

Nice shots, Bambi. I feel a bit like I was walking along with you. Number 1 is my favourite out of the bunch.

For number 3 try a portrait crop. Cut the left hand tree in half and get rid of everything to the left of it. Use the two trees as a natural frame to a sunset. See what you think of that one.

    Very nice Bambi!

I reckon that left hand tree in shot 3 is very deserving of being in there (don't listen to Michael ... he's got 'cat fever' makes him weird ) ... Iggy's suggestion might well be worth pursuing.

I'm torn between the 1st and 3rd shots as to which I like best ... the right hand tree in shot 3 is actually a bit "in the way" as a wise man once said

    Still lovely shots though!!

I enjoyed the second shot. It has a magical mystical feel, seeing the town suddenly appear out of the haze of the bright sun, perfectly reflected in the still water. And the tiny lens flare on the bottom right adds to the magic, intensifies the sun. Nicely done, all of them.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

I'm diggin' the light rays over the town in #2 B....the only thing I would change there is to lose the lens flare in the bottom right of the shot.
They are all really quite good though....hard to pick a fave.
