    Default The Three Sisters

I'm back from a week in the Internet wilderness after being sent to site on short notice. The good thing was that I was in a beautiful part of the country and for once took a "real" camera.

Driving to this location though lots of early morning fog, I was hoping it was going to be present here and was happy to see that it was. I took about 200 images and will be posting some spectacular panoramas over the next week.

Some more info on this wonderful location.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Sisters_(Australia)
Their names are Meehni(922 m), Wimlah (918 m), and Gunnedoo (906 m). The commonly told of the very legend of the Three Sisters is that three sisters fell in love with three men from a neighbouring tribe, but marriage was forbidden by tribal law. Battle ensued, and the sisters were turned to stone by an elder to protect them, but he was killed in the fighting and no one else could turn them back. This legend is claimed to be an Indigenous Australian Dreamtime legend.

Wow...so beautiful AntZ...we have 3 sisters here in Canada too in the Alberta Rocky Mountains. I really like the Aussie version!

Somewhere I'd like to see myself one day. I think Chantelle is planning to go there very soon also.

Nice shot AntZ. A bit blue on the blue rocks mate but a spectacular with that cloud! Love the way we can see past the cloud, down into the valley as well.

Stunning I had to go to your web site to view. A lot better than the Two sisters on Falklands.

Odd as soon as I had posted and scrolled back up and photo was there.

Well it is the Blue Mtns
Yep, I noticed that crept in there somewhere along the way. There is a bit of noise too in clouds which I have fixed on my version.

I have a 17 shot panorama to finish that almost captures the breath taking beauty of this spot.
