    Default Hotspots

They just got WiFi in Havana a few months ago. You will see people gathered at the few hotspots with their cell phones. Night pictures were a real challenge. I was pushing my Canon 7D to 2500 ISO which is not great on that camera. If they are not perfectly sharp that's because I was only getting about 1/25 of a second.

shot 2 is the stronger image - invest 100 bucks for a nifty fifty. It would have gotten you to 1/60 or faster in this light.

I realize that the second one was the stronger shot. The first one was just there for context.
I do have a 50 f1.4, however I rarely use it as I find on a crop sensor it is just too long for street photography. Most of the time I used my 24 f2.8 pancake. I am considering a getting smaller mirrorless camera for street photography. Something like the Fuji X100T or perhaps the Fuji XT1. Of course the organizer of the our trip, Doug Kaye had to have a Leica. Nice camera but wayyyy toooo expensive.

Enjoying your street shots, especially the people shots. I find shot 2 in this thread to be a favorite, partly because of the dark and light contrast, the unusual light sources and the eyes of the guy looking away really make it an interesting shot. Well done.

I think getting closer with the 50mm will make some of the images more intimate - just sayin'

I will give the 50 a try next time I'm out doing street photography to see how it works.
