8-9-10

This is a discussion on 8-9-10 within the Street - Urban Photography forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I liked the rather run down but colourful look of 8-9-10...

"Three Little Pigs" come to mind with this image.

I like it - Red isn't contributing to my eye and is stealing a bit too much show for me ...I might consider cropping it out

Thanks AT and Marko. I had a similar feeling about the red and now you have confirmed it. I've cropped off the red. I've been attempting to keep the same proportions in my pictures now. As a result I've lost some of the top and bottom. What do you think?

The red didn't bother me and the edit is too closely cropped (IMO). If the red is that bothersome, tone down your reds or just go B&W.

Nice find asnow. It makes me wonder about the shape and layout of the homes behind the doors. I love the differing sizes and shapes of the windows, both in the wall and the doors.

I prefer the original version and agree with AT the the red doesnt bother me.
I welcome all critique and comments on any of my photos

For me this version is better... but I agree with the others that toning down the red would have also been a good choice.

I tried toning down the red. Still not really sold on it, so I've tried B&W. I think this works (even though the colour is one thing that attracted me to take the picture in the first place)
