    mmmmmmmm, I like to be differnt. I like the second one better. The curvature of the leaf adds quite a bit of expression to the image. Both are well done, but the second one is the better, imho.

    Thank you, and interesting set of votes. The first one was larger but inconveniently away from the edge. It required a closeup lens, a bit of a crop, and some (hopefully) judicious sharpening. The second (taken a few days later) was nearer the edge and shot with just the lens. Most of the correction involved the color. Both gave me bruises on my elbows and knees. That decorative rock around the edge of the pond is uneven and a bit jagged.
