Fred is a good looking bird! she definitely looks very curious! I find that pet birds are very good posers. Sadie has had her picture taken a lot since I first got her and she is not bothered by the camera or flash. Since getting the faster lenses though, I have had a tendency to move her to the light, whether from a window or my flourescent studio light and taking portraits of her with the f/stop wide open. It requires really careful focusing but I like the results!

A very sweet bird and a nice shot. Wouldn't guess, that Fred is 20-30 years.

Personally, I wouldn't pet her. I have seen her bite family members and it's not pretty. I have seen her snap a chicken bone.
