So this tiny moth (less than half an inch) lands on my glasses. I figured it would be gone again in a moment, because they usually are. When it didn't move, I figured I might as well try a shot. I'm nearsighted. I can't see much more through the viewer than roughly where things are. After a few shots it decided it liked my leg much better. At least I could put my glasses back on for those shots.

She certainly seemed drawn to you! The third is my favourite though I like the 2nd one two with the shadow and all. Nice

I must admit, I was surprised by the results. You've undoubtedly seen these guys - to the eye they look very light tan, and in the sunlight they're just about blinding. I knew I would have to crank down the highlights and exposure post processing. What I didn't expect was the coloration and patterns. I have another angle where you can see the patterns on the wings, but it has a shimmer to it. I'm now driving myself nuts trying to identify it. I went to the site Iggy used for his beetle, and a couple of others, but I can't get enough of a description or a set of clear photos that match. I may try the university ag department. I'm certain it'll be considered a pest.
