    Default At last ... a Rainbow Bee-Eater

For a few years now I've wanted to get a photo of a few elusive birds and the Rainbow Bee-Eater ( a spring and early summertime visitor to our shores ) was high on the list.

This morning I got one. Not as close as I'd like but they are a flighty little bird.

Very nice pics Mad Aussie. Number 1 in particular. I have to admit when I read the title I really didn't know quite what to expect!

Very cool! I know what it's like waiting for that time of year when you have a window in which to gain a possible shot.

A beautiful specimen for sure, and you have captured him very well MA. Congrat's also on the "lifer" to add to your list.
No need for apologies, we all have lives to lead besides our leisure time spent here. I, myself, have not been here as much as I would like, but priorities first.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
