Default First time out with Siggy

So here I could not stand it any longer; packed my Siggy up and drove to the bird sanctuary. Nothing but ducks and magpies, but what the heck. Wanted to see what this thing could do with the teleconverter attached. Some images are free hand, the others are tripod. Will have to get used to this thing. Think it is definitely soft running @ 600mm.

I really like the magpie shot with the wing feathers flared.

Count me in on #4, well captured and #3 seems to be giving you "da evil eye".

the magpie shot sure is a dramatic moment and well exposed, but I also like the herd of ducks. yeah, herd. it's funnier that way. but seriously, the light is gorgeous...just look at those iridescent heads! and that one guy in the middle is hilarious. perfect practice subjects.

Hey thanks all ... yes, that last one was a nice fluke ... shooting away at the magpie sitting around, then it started to take off ...
