Default Just a few from the local village zoo

A few from the local zoo in the village of Linton, Cambridgeshire, UK, this weekend. It's a funny little place, the owners' (modern, red-brick, 4 bedroom-ish) house is part of the site, so it feels like you're walking around their back garden.

Most of these are through wire mesh, so contrast has suffered somewhat, (the lion especially, even though contrast is bumped up to almost the maximum allowed by LR3).

And this guy wasn't an inmate, he just happened to be passing by and stopped off in one of the turtle ponds. But he posed ever so nicely in front of a lovely yellow bush so I couldn't resist snapping this one

Zoo or not, I really like animal shots and you've got some nice ones here. That lion is hilarious! Love the expression on his face.

Cool shots! That mallard is a pretty girl! And that is a lovely glamour shot of her. Love the colorful "Two Birds" and zebra especially!

Very nice zoo shots, especially through mesh fence. Very well executed Thoughton.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
