I'm assuming that's the horse's name rather than its condition. I like how the crop includes just portions of the halter (I think, I'm not an expert on identifying tack with so limited a view)

An interesting portrait of a horse. The eye is very interesting... I had no idea their pupils were shaped/angled that way. I guess I never really looked that closely before. The detail on this is excellent, Lisa. What a really interesting capture.

Very nice Casil, love the fine detail and choice of crop.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Thanks a bunch for the kind words.

Dusty is my Mum/Niece's horse. He is a 16 year old Morgan/Arabian former pack horse who was left starved in a field before going to auction and being bought for $100 by the ex-owner of the farm he now resides in. My Mum just fell in love with him form day one and bought him shortly afterwards. He was very touch and go when he was brought in and nursed back to health, taught to jump and has won a few competitions with my Niece. He is happy and healthy now and in this image he is waiting for my Mum to come and feed him. He always likes to know where she is when she is there and he watches and waits for her....a great relationship for both parties!
