Default A Perfect Way to Start the Day

Just before leaving for work today I spotted this beautiful Oriole (I think) while standing at the kitchen sink. What a perfect way to start the day ! Captured with my 70 -200 through glass.

yes it is. She's beautiful. I can't remember what that vine is called, but I saw one recently at the Walter Gropius house in Massachusetts. The flowers were impressive.

Hey thanks Wicked. She sure is beautiful. Just before I snapped this shot a hummingbird zoomed up to her and gave her a stare. I think the hummingbird was trying to say "this is my territory!"

    ah yes, that's it.
Funny about hummingbirds, lately a female has been chasing birds around in the backyard. Very aggressive. Mostly she had it in for this red breasted nuthatch and ran it ragged for a few minutes. Never saw that behavior before.

Nice shot, nice colors, nice catch.
I think you should prepare the area first, and trim the trees a little, so some community work there - just kidding )

Nice capture of the Oriole Jimmy, especially through glass.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
