    Default Gulls on Glenmore

On a warm, still evening last weekend, these gulls gathered at dusk on boom logs placed to stop or slow down debris (mostly wood) going over the Glenmore Dam.

I'm a humongous fan of reflection shots - Nice set here and nice compositional play! (72 and 32 are my faves here)
Not sure if others will agree, but I wish there were more trees reflecting in shot 1. Could use another half inch of trees.... to my eye it would have added a richer background flavour imo.
The way it is now, to my eye the trees are commanding too much attention and my eye rests there. If you wanted to crop the trees out, (hope I'm not blaspheming your image) the birds and the reflecting sky would command much more attention.

The choice of black and white for 12 makes for an interesting shot. I also like the peak in 32.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting, Marko, WD and EdG. I believe I left only the reflection at the top in 72 as a sort of burned edge frame. Here's a version without it:
    Fewer than 72

Makes the sky and cloud reflection more prominent I guess. Thanks for the tip.

My fav's are 72 and 14 and I much prefer the second 72 with the trees cropped off. What a cool find.

Awesome looking captures on all, and love the symmetry in 14. Well done Mbrager.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
