    Default Bluebonnet Swamp Visit

This is a small swamp on the outskirts of Baton Rouge. We didn't see much wildlife other than turtles, but the baby gator is in the main visitors' building with a bunch of other reptiles:

What program do you use to edit with?
Does it have a 'recovery' tool in it? This helps to save some almost blown out areas. A 'Burn' tool can be helpful also.

I use Gimp 2.6, but I don't see a recovery tool. I tried the burn tool, but it looks like I used an airbrush on it.

Does Gimp have a 'Shadows - Highlights' tool then? That's an awesome tool in Photoshop.

The burn tool needs to be used very sparingly, and with stuff all strength/opacity. I use it way around around the 5 - 10% at most.
