    Default Wolves

I've spent a lot of time running around British Columbia in search of wolves. I have found some wild ones but they can be very hard to spot. These wolves below are captive at a place about 10 minutes from my home in Vancouver. I've visited them a number of times in the last 8 months or so since I discovered they were there. My brother told me about them after I spent 10 days and drove 2200 kilometers in search of the wild ones. I do prefer to photograph wild ones but when I feel the need for a quick and easy wolf fix, these ones are great. They were bred for the film industry and lived in kennels until a local ski hill decided to give them 2 acres to live in. Enough of the back story and onto the photos. These were taken a few days ago on my last visit.

They were having a bit of a scrap. It looked a bit serious but it was probably just normal wolf behavior.

They are beautiful animals and I love going to visit them. Plus it's good practice for the wild ones. Thanks for looking!

Very nice set! I also like the light on #39.
These guys are tough to get in the wild. I have seen a big black guy around here several times but never close enough to get a good shot.

Woah! Awesome set of images. Another vote for #39 with that amazing light and I love #28 too for their play.

Very cool set indeed. Great timing and focus in these. Wolf #39 gets my nod as the best ... just love that composition and light.
