Ver nice XP, and congrat's on the new toy.
Have the same one since it first came out. Just don't use it enough, but have been making myself get out with it more. It is an amazing lens.

Wow, a 70-200L and the 100mm macroL. Looks like you are investing heavily in your future?
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Thanks all, I am really looking forward to getting out more this summer.
Only problem now is carting all that equipment around.

    "Penny for your thoughts?"

Here is my nickel's worth now that the penny is history. That's a nice sharp lens. I think you need just a tad more DOF though as I think that the focus falls of just a little quick. Have fun with that lens and it`s big brother the 70-200. Want to see lots of pictures this summer.

Thanks asnow, ya @ f2.8 and 4 feet distance my DOF was near nil. More playing needed.
Thanks Aub. You just have to go for it.

Nice !! lens and shots. I like how the cat's face is sharp... and got some blur in there too.. Both your "owners" don't seem pleased at having their picture taken ! I have an equally annoyed-looking cat each time I take out my camera in the house.
