Default Sheesh, after this I must clean myself ....

Got to the lost lagoon in Stanley Park (Vancouver); saw this Heron and wanted to take a picture of him ... then a raccoon came out of nowhere and scared the heron away ... so I looked at the water and there were two Canada Geese, doing the nasty ... in public, in the water .... and I had my 300mm f4 mounted on my camera ... so I backed up to take some shots (how often does one get to see that????), but not far enough .. so all my shots of this mating were totally unusable ... but ... she decided to clean herself after the messy dive job ... and by now she was far enough away that the 300 was OK. Just had a tough time to get a nice shot without a tripod ... so this one is hand held, f8, 1/125, ISO 400...

... and then they shared a smoke.

Really good action shot- like it much.

Love the sharpness of the head/eye along with the body movement captured. Well executed Matt.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

    Exactly!
