Keepin' On tHe Hummer Theme

    Inspired by Mike Bons shots, went out and shot a few of the many fighting over territory, and the feeders.

    Great shots ,what lens are you using ? are you using a strobe ?

    Thanks Mike. Appreciate the kind compliment.
    No strobe, and was just using a single 580ExII mounted on camera. Was rainy, and cold out, so didn't want to set up multiple flash. Was using a 500mm F4L with a 1.4X TC mounted.
    I was quite surprised at the results, but the very overcast skies, and the soft light it produced, helped here.
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

    Loving #3 in this fabulous set. Almost looks like he has no wings. Eye pop superbly. Well done, HBG!

    Just wonderful, HBG... though I was expecting some trucks! The shimmery colours are beautiful and I think number 2 is my favourite.

    All are really nice images of what, I'm sure you know, is my favorite subject. Great detail, and that flash really helped.

    Thanks to all for the kind compliments. Had to pick up more sugar today, as they are going crazy here. Have to fill feeders both morning and night now. May have to find a 2 litre feeder or two soon.
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
