    Fantastic set. Love every one of them. Perhaps I like the third one best as well, where it looks like it is talking.

    they are a funny looking lot, them kingfishers. You have captured them very well. Lovely bokeh, too.

    Another vote for #3 Kenny, but every one in this set is beautifully done.
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

    Great shots. Do you do anything special to get so close, like shooting from a blind?

    thanks Doug.. yes they were shot from a blind behind my house.. i have an alder stuck out about 35 or 40 feet from shore... kingfishers like to fish in shallow water.. so i walk down when the tide's out within a couple of feet of the base of the alder
