    Default One Hungry Pelican!

I snapped this yesterday and thought it was amusing.

Background - late arvo on a lake near me where many Cormorants like to hang out. There were a couple of pelicans drifting around also and I saw a Cormorant fly low and fast behind a Pelican and thought that might make a nice shot.
I lined up the Pelican and waited for another of the many Cormorants to take off and, as luck would have it, one did and headed for my Pelican.
A bit close though according to the Pelican who obviously owns this lake

Pelican was a bit far away even for my 100-400mm so the image is cropped a little and not great quality but I thought it was hilarious that a Pelican would try to eat a Cormorant.

don't know how I missed this! it's hilarious.
I guess pelicans don't like getting buzzed by cormorants!

Yes ... that pelican seemed to think he owned that part of the lake!
