Default Redheads, Ringers and a Hooded Lawn Dart.

I was back at Presquile Provincial Park a couple days ago to try and get a few Redheads shots and if I was really lucky a Canvasback. Well, I didn't get the Can shot but I did get a few Redheads, Ringers, and a Hooded Merganser. That may have been the last day of shooting there however as the vast majority of birds seem to have moved on with the full moon.

    1. I wish the one drake wasn't partially covered by the hen, but its the best flock shot I got.

Hard to pick a fav out of all these. They are all captured so well Mike. Very nice sharp detail with a beautiful smooth background, really makes them pop. Maybe lean towards the Ringer flock coming in, and that Hoodie flaring is just a perfectly timed capture.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Thanks HBG, Lungelarry, and Marko! I'm glad you all like different images. HBG, I wish I could have got a little tighter shot of that hoodie but feel fortunate to have got a shot at all. When he was coming in I wasn't going to push the shutter as he was further out and I already had numerous images of redheads and ringers, and I just assumed it was another one of them. Thankfully I pressed the shutter at the same time he flared and gave a pretty dramatic pose for my first ever hooded merganser image.

All of them excellent. I like the flight formation in #1.
