    Default More Birds of Prey

    At the "bird of prey" center one has ample opportunity to capture wonderful portraits of these magnificent animals. All the images are taken with the Nikon 300mm f4, @ 640ISO, f5.6, various speeds hand held.

    And horned Owl



    and yet a little closer. Did you know that the eyes in the owl are fixed, they cannot move the eyeballs .. that is why they turn their heads so much ....

    All wonderfully sharp and detailed photos. All nice and close, your lens works really nice for these.

    I really like the complimentary warm tones and subtleties in the second image and the 3rd image of the owl is cool for its detail.
