    Default Snowy Owl

I got a good lead from a friend of mine about this snowy. Unfortunately its favourite perch is a hydro pole a which doesn't make for the most intersting photos, however I got a few others as well.

Here is a video from today with it sitting on the pole.

And a few images from yesterday before the storm hit.

Very nice exposures. Like Bambi, I prefer the second one. Always wanted to see one of these. Figured if I even got to look at one of these in the wild, any picture I got I would consider acceptable, but I would never expect to take anything good on this specific bird. Nice work.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

Great set and nicely done considering the white on white situation. I have to go with #2.....I just like the contrast between owl and background.

Nice captures Mike, and also likin' that 2nd one. Looks like a long ways out.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

It was, but since I don't have any snowy images, I will take what I can get

    Thanks all for the comments.
