    I took a photo of one those types of Cormorants around Christmas time and no one in the Aussie birds group on Flickr I'm in could identify it. Turned out to be a Sth American variety that reaches up into the US at times.

    Guess he was on holiday in Aus!!

    These guys are dug in deep here in Vancouver all year round but I rarely get this close to them. Here I was in the wrong focusing mode so the camera kept locking on his body when I wanted sharp EYES! Damnit!!!
