Speedy the wood duck

This is a discussion on Speedy the wood duck within the Animals (mammals, birds, insects etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; As usual the little bollocks is speeding away all the while keeping a little red eye firmly locked on me.......

    Another great shot!

I have to ask. How do you create your borders?

You guys have to ask in the middle of a Bond film

In PS I change the canvas size and make sure it's black. I then use the square selection tool to quickly get a selection just outside the photo area, then I stroke the selection with an off white. I get pretty sloppy sometimes as you can see if you look real hard at the above image. I use this method before I downsize for the web. For my 3648 x 2736 images I extend the canvas three hundred pixels and stroke the selection six pixels.

    Hope this helps

Thanks! You should not have interrupted Bond to answer though!
