So Many Pelicans

This is a discussion on So Many Pelicans within the Animals (mammals, birds, insects etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I've never seen so many at the Calgary weir before...had to have been well over 100! I had great day ...

    I've never seen so many at the Calgary weir before...had to have been well over 100! I had great day watching them!

    Very cool! I have only ever seen about 25 or so. They must be doing well here!

    Never mind land locked Calgary.

    I spotted them at the weir the other day as well except I couldn't stop. Nice to see someone got some shots of them. A few years ago there were 10 to 20 on the whole river now we have hundreds. It shows that the river is healthy since they go where there is food. They are upsetting the fisherman around town.
