    Default bufflehead boogie

    caught this little fella hauling his biscuits across the bay at the park near my house. these little guys are fast, and the black and white markings make exposures challenging... 40D, 400mm, 1/1600 @ f/6.3

    Did you make up the name of this bird?? Or is it really called a Buffleheaded Boogie?? Or is it a Bufflehead that's got up a boogied the hell outta there??

    the duck is a bufflehead... not sure where the name originated. the "boogie" refers to its rather rapid departure from the area...
