    Default some eagle shots

this bald eagle put on quite a show today at the park... unfortunately, the light was about gone by the time he showed up, and most of my shots were little more than silhouettes, but i did manage a few decent attempts... 40D, 100-400 @ various focal lengths and exposures...

Very cool shots! All of them! Such cool birds. Our raptors never let me get so close.

Nice captures! I especially like the third. They are like aerodynamic machines! Love the way the end feathers are turned up on the one side, the little feet are tucked in and the tail is spread out.

Wonderful captures. I like the 3rd one too and how there is so much detail in the feathers.

yeah, the detail is definitely best in #3... he was so close i had to back off the lens to 200mm to get him all in the frame!
