I had to buy my horse some protective boots. The Farrier made a mistake and trimmed him too close. which means that the sensitive part of his sole was exposed. the shoes had to come off and he was in a lot of pain just walking. Add in hard ground and ice and it gets much worse. So I went and bought these:

they protect the sole and add a cusion. sort of like special runner shoes. And cost the same: $200

But this makes it worth it:

Bambi he's beautiful! I always had a love for horses Too bad about his hooves though :( You think his 'manicurist' would be more careful.....he should have paid for those pretty shoes.....:P

yeah, don't get me started. I didn't pay him. Instead that went to the vet costs.
