I am not sure what it was. Most likely a mouse or a shrew. However, given her reaction to the word 'squirrel' it just seemed an apt description. I am also not sure that she differentiates between squirrels and other rodents.

Squirrels/rodents/muskrats/beavers/rabbits/mice/mole/shrews/coyotes/cats/ducks/geese/seals... anything on the ground or on the water that moves pretty much if she's anything like Chase was.
The best part is when they pull their head up form the snow and have that snowy covered "pie in the face" look!
