    Default Spillway

Part of a small irrigation channel between a water park and the man made wetland. It's about 5 feet wide and even now probably not much more than knee deep. You can see old channels leading off of this one, but I doubt they work any more. There's a United Water plant very close, and larger canals in the same general area.

There always seems to be some interesting photos around areas like this.

And goat's head! (Puncture vine. They do a number on bike tires and feet). I found this spot last fall, when the leaves were turning red. Facing the other direction you get trees with mossy bark and you almost expect to see ferns. I'll have to dig those shots out. Without something to give you scale it looks like a regular stream. Also not apparent is that it's next to a parking lot and a road!

Found 'em. With nothing to give you scale you'd think these were of a stream, rather than a very small irrigation channel. If you look closely at the one picture with the tree leaning over you can see the railing next to the road and the drainage pipe just underneath it.
