    Default Some photos from Quebec

Last week Ed and I took Alec to his new home just outside of Montreal. He's now begun 4 weeks of military training and has no outside communication

Ed and I decided to spend a couple nights in Quebec City on the way back (it was our honeymoon location). So this was not a 'photo taking' vacation but time for us to be together. However, I did manage to get a few shots

this is one of the gates to old Quebec:

    an old house:

a view from the Citadel. I found out that it's still an active army base and the regiment is now in Afghanistan.

Nice! Brings back memories from our vacation last summer.

Nice set. No wonder people always say Quebec is so much like Europe. This is the architecture I remember from Germany/England/France. Growing up in Europe and then coming to Canada (or the US, for that matter), sure opens one's eyes. I remember walking down 4th street in Calgary, where there were quonsets behind the front facade. There are no fake facades in most of Europe, and htese images do not look like there are fake facades there, either. Just got to love this architecture; well captured, Bambi.
