    Default Almost forgotten

Went with a local historical society on a cemetery crawl (no, really? Me??). Some of these are in the woods, down obscure tracks and until recently, nearly buried in debris. It was difficult to get in the groove with so many non-photographers around, but luckily I got a few that aren't terrible.

I think I like the 2nd one best but the 3rd appeals also.

I love the first shot. The lighting is incredible, and it has an abundance of 'eeriness' about it. Great stuff, gives me a reason to visit these dark places ....

Thanks guys. The first one was recently unearthed by looking at old maps and comparing them to new ones. A few guys from the historical society literally had to clear a path to it and then clear the entire cemetery. One of them has ancestors that are probably buried there, but some of the stones are so worn they're illegible now. The light in the early afternoon was pretty dramatic with some areas being lit and others in deep shade. The light stayed on Hannah's stone for just a minute or two and then it was gone. Right place, right time.

I too am a fan of shot 1, great tones!
I think it would look even better as a b/w or monochrome image.

Thanks M. I can certainly try to finish it as one. I started, but found that the hints of color add mystery and make a person look longer at the image. Will play.
