    Default City of Banners

Shot in Inglewood, an older neighborhood of Calgary, located near the place where two rivers meet, and where the original Fort Calgary was located. The men depicted on the banners in the third picture were some of the original Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers sent to settle here. Mike

Nice set, Mike. Really like the black and white shot. What time of day did you take it to have so little traffic there? According to the shadow it almost looks like high noon; amazing.

Thanks Matt. It was later in the afternoon, 3 o'clock perhaps. Farther down 9th Ave. there are fewer pedestrians and sometimes traffic is waiting at the lights. Lucky shot I guess. Mike

Nice set Mike! The banners are a colourful addition to the city and we sure need them in winter!

I think it's against the law to use the "w" word right now. Thanks for the comment, JAS. Mike
