Been toying with the idea of trying my hand at medium format, so I went looking - here is what I found:
1954 Zeiss Ikonta 523/16 (takes 120 roll film)

Thanks A-L, looking forward to learning and shooting with it. Any recommendations on B&W film, any particular brand of film for it (Kodak, Ilford, Fuji)?

I use Ilford Delta 100 and Ilford Delta 400 mostly I just seem to like the results I get from Ilford. I have a two rolls of Kodak Tri X 400 TX and two rolls of Kodak Plus X 125 that I plan on trying out. I found 400 ISO a better film for these cameras from my experience since you have less worries about the lighting conditions.

What year is your Camera? I know it is a newer model than what I have mine is a 1937 model.

Thanks for the recommendations and I was told that it is a 1954 Ikonta II 523/16 Lcm, it has the opton tessar f/ 3.5 lens and the synchro compur shutter (goes up to 500th of a sec.)
