    Default Hair for Kids donation

    this was fun, and i photographed the process, so i thought i'd share.
    chopped off my ponytail and donated it to a foundation that makes real hair wigs for kids with cancer, alopecia, or burn victims.

    It is not creepy
    I done this a couple of years ago for kids with cancer.

    Very thoughtful Kiley. A friend of ours had chemo and used a synthetic wig for a while. I itched so badly she got rid of it. It would be so much harder for kids to go without hair.

    Very good over the shoulder mirror shot too!

    thank you everyone!
    it really was fun, (especially the other ladies in the shops reactions!) and totally not selfless, since i got a fabulous makeover at a time that i desperately needed it.
    it takes an average of 12 ponytail donations to make a single wig. my hair is especially thick, so maybe it counts as 2. but everyone should do this at least once - very liberating & worthwhile!!
