Default Tried something a little different

Hm, I tried something a little different in terms of what I shoot The background was really noisy so I used the smudge tool and "smoothed" it out, then boosted the contrast a little to bring out the colour. Just thought I'd share. If the focus seems off, well, it's the best I can do with my camera

I like it. How does the smudging look at 300 dpi - full size? Does it look smudged?

I wouldn't want it focused any clearer than it is actually Gem. I really like this ... so clean and the colours just work so well for me. I even like the active space you've left to the right of the subject. There's nothing there yet I look anyway. Sometimes I guess colour is enough.

You should be commended on spotting this and seeing it in your mind.

Somebody slap me! How did I miss this thread?

Very, very nice. Each color compliments the others and wonderful composition.

BF, I slapped myself before slapping you. This is a great job Gem. It really is a great explanation as to how the most simple and ordinary things can make great images if you know what your doing. Hopefully this will start a new photographic endeavor for you and will let you SEE new things.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

Thanks, all. Wasn't really expecting all these responses; I think I posted this way back in December.

The great colour with the wonderful object's form make this a fine combination.
