I understand it is due to be developed soon, but I think they are not tearing it down and will probably try to retain the character. The South Wharf (where I am taking this shot from) has been tastefully developed into cafes etc, but they have been integrated into the heritage buidings and have maintained some old points of interest behind glass. (The condos have been built immediately behind.)
