    Default Classic

Out for a drive down a densely canopied backroad when we came across a sign with a boat ramp on it. Drove down to the water and there were two gentlemen just launching their antique boat, (1934), for the first time since refinishing the outside. Still needs some work on the interior, but was a beauty for sure. Couldn't do much about the light here, so did my best.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

One can only imagine the hours spent sanding and varnishing, sanding and varnishing. Great story and great shots. The second shows more of the wood. I would love to see more close ups.

I favour number one here as I like the inclusion of the trees and sky. With the old boat it definitely looks very classic! A very nice shot, HBG.

What a great old boat. It reminds me of photos that my father showed me of a boat that he built back in the 50's. Bet it weighs a bit.
