Orion Estate Home

This is a discussion on Orion Estate Home within the Architecture & Man Made (cities, buildings, roads, objects & abstracts) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; Orion was supposed to be a ghost town; well, so I thought. But apparently there are still some folks living ...

    Default Orion Estate Home

Orion was supposed to be a ghost town; well, so I thought. But apparently there are still some folks living there, and you KNOW you are an outsider when you stop there to take pictures. As I was setting up, this kid came by on a quad, checked me out and made sure there was a load of dust (just what I needed with the new camera and lens). So I waited until the dust had settled before I took a couple of shots of the "estate" home this once was ... well, it was real 'estate' ...

Anyway, the kid came by again and somehow the musical theme from a movie long ago, starring John Voight and Burt Reynolds, came to mind .. mind you , there was no banjo ....

You must be referring to these two guys, Matt.

Cool old place and nicely photographed but that false front makes me wonder if it might not have been a general store or post office?

Cool find Matt, and very nicely captured on both.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
