    Default Kanheri 2

    Image 1

    'From Outside'
i have tried not to go overboard with luminosity masks this time, somehow its difficult to capture the feeling when actually standing there in front of 1000 yr old chamber!!

    Image 2
    'Cave face'
stairs leading to chambers on same level and the top left leading to more rooms on higher ground, I wanted to capture the context of place it was based in, not sure if i have done that though.

    Image 3
    'young vendor'
Near the base of the cave, an unfortunate but common site here, young couple with children trying to make end meet, deliberately cropped men on each side to emphasize the young mother and the infant.

Plz feel free to comment or critique. greatly appreciated. regards

I find the scenes you are choosing to use these masks with difficult choices Anuj.

You can't easily pull out tones when the scene is too overexposed or overexposed.
Look how deep the shadows are in shot 1 - you can't make those shadows more 'luminous' they are too dark to start with. Now if this was a 3 frame HDR....yes.

Choose scenes that are more NORMAL to start. Choose normal exposures, not high contrast or low contrast.

The family is the most normal image toneswise - but it looks flat. I recommend continued practise on normal scenes.

Also saying you used luminosity masks is way way way too general..for best critiques, please describe how u used them.

    Hope that may help
