    Default Still life

Never having shot still life with flash I thought I'd give it a try. These were done with not a great deal of thought put into subject matter and...of course, It was raining. I learned from this that it would be sweet to have room around here for a permanent area of the apartment set up for this kind of work so as to not have to set up and tear down backdrop and lighting every time

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

Thanks everyone...This is stuff I've been working on rainy days to get a better understanding of the flash system and given where I live, I could easily become a pretty prolific poster in this area

here's a couple more. The pyramid thingy was an attempt to light the thingy while not overpowering the candle within.

Thanks Kiley. That shot I used a poor mans soft box which was cardboard snoots with white printer paper hung in front trying to reduce flash glare.
